Life on a Wire
World famous high-wire artist Delilah Wallenda bows her head as her son Nik Wallenda crosses over her during their high-wire act where the two simultaneously walked across a 300-foot-long wire suspended 100 feet in the air between two towers of the Conrad Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Nik’s great-grandfather, the German-born Karl Wallenda, tried to perform the same feat in 1978 but fell to his death at age 73 due to high winds. The two Wallendas commemorated the famous family patriarch by successfully completing the same stunt. Nik is now the star of a new show called “Life on a Wire” that will air tonight at 10:00 pm E/P on the Discovery Channel. Click on the picture to watch a clip of the new show!
