Cooking in your R.V.
Traveling in a R.V. can be fun and adventurous but we circus folk pretty much live in them all year round. As “fun” as that may sound, it can be rather difficult at times; especially when it comes to having “home cooked meals”. We’re always in a hurry and sometimes we barely have enough time to eat, let alone cook! Eating out can be expensive so our best bet is to cook at home but after a long three-show day, who wants to cook?
About 10 years ago, I discovered an amazing product that solved all of our cooking problems. Appropriately enough, it’s called Showtime™ Rotisserie by Ronco. It is amazing! Their signature catch phrase ”Set-It-And-Forget-It” is perfectly accurate because you literally set the timer and let the Rotisserie do the rest! It has a 3-hour automatic timer that will allow you to spend less time cooking and have more time doing… everything else! The dual-heating tray that comes with it lets you keep two vegetable dishes piping hot as well. The compact version of it (which also happens to be the original version) fits nicely in any size R.V. It’s easy to clean, easy to use, and can cook just about anything! The food always comes out delicious because it cooks in its own juices, which also means it’s healthier too! I cannot recommend this product enough. Seriously. If you don’t have one, it’s time you get one. Trust me, it will pay for itself right away. Especially on those long and pesky set-up/tear-down days. ■
