Circus Tent Collapses in Mexico

A circus tent collapses in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico and injures 43 people. The accident happened shortly after 6:00 pm as the show was about to begin. Strong winds generated eddies in several sectors of the city that were reported to be between 40 – 60 kph. The tent could not withstand the force of the strong winds and it came crashing down, trapping many inside. An hour after the incident was reported, the situation was under control and the injured were taken to different hospitals. The Fire Department, Civil Protection, Municipal Police officers, and Red Cross disaster workers were there to help. The animals, however, had fled the scene as they feared the workers and citizens. Here is the link to the news report (in Spanish):
