The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade presented by Macy’s. The three-hour event is held in New York City starting at 9:00 a.m. EST November, 24th, Thanksgiving Day. This year’s line up includes Rodney Atkins, Mary J. Blige, Savannah Outen, Cobra Starship, Neil Diamond, Michael Feinstein, The Fresh Beat Band, Cee Lo Green, Avril Lavigne, Shelby Lynne, Mannheim Steamroller, China Anne McClain, Scotty McCreery, Ingrid Michaelson, the Sesame Street cast & Muppets and the Big Apple Circus.

Beginning at 77th Street & Central Park West, the parade marches south on Central Park West and then turns east onto Central Park South. When it reaches 7th Avenue, the procession turns south at the corner of Central Park South and marches to 42nd Street. It then travels east along 42nd Street from 7th to 6th Avenue. At 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) the parade veers south and marches to 34th Street. At 34th Street, it heads west to Herald Square ending at 34th Street and 7th Avenue. The route offers 2 miles of public viewing.

Tune in to NBC on Thanksgiving Day at around 9:05 AM and see Grandma, from the Big Apple Circus, having a blast in front of 65 million viewers! Then Grandma will join the Big Apple Circus unit uptown and tricycle downtown in front of 5 million folks live on television. ■
